This is a question I have found myself asking time and time again, mostly because I want to believe that my movement and movements like ours have created enough awareness to the issues we face as a nation that some dramatic change may take place or has taken place. But constantly I find myself being disappointed, as the conditions seem to be worsening. I am not going to bore you with statistical analysis and data, just tell you how I see it.
In my everyday life I see on a regular basis at least 3-4 women commuting through society in yoga pants or what appears to be workout clothing, this leaves me with the false impression that this person is health conscious and is working towards a better body for themselves. So one day simply making random conversation I stopped one of these ladies in transit and inquiries, "So you must have just finished working out, or are on your way to a great fulfilling workout." Her response to me was, "No neither why do you ask, oh the work out gear no I just like how it looks and feels on me." Walking away partially perplexed and mostly disappointed, disappointed by the fact that my precious movement for the last six years has done nothing short of turn Health into a fashion, a trending topic. Now i will say i am constantly surrounded by body builders, cross fit trainers, and athletes, I don't expect this from every one to be a crazed workout nut, all I ask is that we instill into our daily lives 30 minutes for some sort of physical activity. Back to my original story, I was disappointed by the capitalization of the Health Issue in America and perplexed by the fact that so many are so unwilling to make a commitment to make a change for themselves. I only advocate this and emphasize it so strongly because I hear of many people discussing how unhappy they are with their own Health.
Not meaning to rant but I realize that instead of tucking my tail and going home, I must stand up taller, and work harder to achieve my objective of "Shaping America" we are no closer to the losing of 1 Million Pounds challenge I proposed years ago, we have actually as a nation gained 3 million pounds of excess and have nearly usurped our clandestine Health care system here in the Nation.
In the months to come I will continue to take my fight to the streets using my time, energy, and talent. I will demonstrate in my film projects not only the workout routines of the dedicated celebrity fitness people I work with but also their lifestyle their struggles, hurdles, and achievements, this in attempt to make the average Joe realize these are real people like you and I and they made the commitment to change what they didn't like and stuck to it no matter the cost. This will hopefully once again ignite the fire and spark millions of us to do the same!
Until next time I will keep the faith, keep living for love, life, and pursuing happiness by being of service to all of humanity!
